About the practice

A small office, built around children and the plans that cover them

Pelican Pediatric Dentistry is one dentist, one hygienist and a front desk. Dr. Harrell sees every child herself, so your child meets the same person at each visit.

Most of our families have Medicaid or CHIP, so the first thing Silvia Dorantes does is check the plan and tell you what it covers. The fee for anything beyond a checkup is in writing before treatment.

  • The same dentist at every visit

  • Your child's plan checked before you come

  • Any fee in writing before treatment

How we work

  • We check the plan first

Before the visit, so you know what the plan covers.

  • We say what we do

Checkups, fillings, crowns, sealants and urgent visits for children.

  • We say what we don't

We don't treat adults, and we don't give sedation. We tell you who to see instead.
